When I'm out snapping landscape pics people seem to like tooting me as
they drive past. I'm nowhere near the road (nor is my car), and often
I'm not even facing that direction. Are they being friendly or just
trying to scare me? ;)

Maybe they just think you're good looking.

It's never happened to me.

Maybe they think you're a location scout and they want to be in the next
picture!

Its because the average male loses about 60 IQ points when he gets behind
the wheel of a car.  His passengers, by dint of proximity, lose about 50.

They think its funny.

Don't project your problems onto me.
Don't you understand the psychology of driving?
What I said made perfect sense.
(Still does.)

Jim Smithie is David Springthorpe

He is known in aus.tv for disagreeing with the masses.
He has changed his name to Jim Smithie since he found out one of the
biggest trolls of aus.tv (Gordon Lightfoot) is his half brother.

Just do what we all do and killfile him.  (we?)

I've only stopped on the side of the road to take some landscape pics
one time and got tooted. IMO my car wasn't close enough to the road to
be a problem for drivers so i don't know what the hell they were tooting
me for.

Yesterday I parked in another location and walked in. I was next to a
highway.

No toots this time. Guess they like my car better than my
backside.......
