Monochromatic    does not equal Black and White, which by definition
would be multi coloured.....

Monochromatic (Monochromatique) means different tints and shades of
the ONE SAME colour

You're on touchy ground when you define white as multi-colored, but claim
different tints are the same color. Assuming you mean a different tint as
one containing more or less white, then it too must be "multi-colored" by
that same definition.
Most people would consider Black and White as monochromatic though.
