I watche the Walkleys last night, & was astonished to see that Nikon
were sponsoring the Photojournalist award last night. What on earth
were Nikon thinking? Nearly all the Australian PJs I've seen have been
using Canon gear. Are Nikon perhaps trying to market to the general
public, rather than actual PJs?

Nikon have sponsored press photo awards in Australia for quite a long time -
dates back to a time when Nikon was the camera to use.
