I like it, very moving.
I was spilt between the couple kissing (you would get bashed for taking
a picture like this in Australia) and the guy playing pocket billiards
behind them.
BTW How do they say the date in France? Is it Thirtird or Thirteenird?
Tittle confused me

I enjoy the photojournalistic style that has evolved on the site. Some are
not to my taste but that's the subjective nature of photography.
BTW it's a typo 13rd [doh] and it's treizième

Daniel... you must be in shock! we are capable of positive comments
too..... well most of us.
about the tree.... yeah, I am a bit unsure on that.... I kinda like it,
but woul dlike to see it closer to the edge of the frame maybe?
I wonder what a verticle crop would do... it could work nicely.

this is what I meant by "unusual composition".
to me the tree looks bang on where it is:
right on the 3rds, opposite the couple.
(freud hat on):
presumably, a phallic reinforcement of the couple's actions?
(freud hat off)
:-)

yeah.... but would they know the source... ie 1984? probably just the
catch-phrase-phrase.... or better yet... that's a television show...
right!?!?

bingo. I'll give you pretty good odds the vast majority
who watch that show haven't got a clue what
the name meant, in what book, and why.
Ah well...

I always had a quiet giggle at the irony of a voyeuristic tv show called
big brother....

I taken the shot very fast ! People kissing each other don't like
to be shooted as in Australia I think;)

a lot going on in the picture to keep the viewer entertained.

strong linees of the brideges across the diagonal and top.
good one!

there are sooo many other strong parts of the image... the suitcase is
no problem.... in fact it is better to have most of it cropped.

Chop down the tree in the left mid-foreground and it will look a lot better.

Fuzzy black and white pic of a couple snogging while a pervert standing
behind them plays with himself.
Taking that aside it is a better picture than the last lot of rubbish he
has plied out.
