I doubt the Japs would use the number 4.
But we'll see :)

It was either August 24th or August 28th that an announcement of a new
product is going to be made by Canon.

I bought a 350D only 6 months ago and the street price has already gone
down by about $200-$300 since then... can't wait to see what happens
now! ;)

They don't waste any time!
Canon's site doesn't show any pricing yet.

My original plan was to stay with the 300D (which I haven't even
remotely pushed the envelope of yet) and hang out for a FF (either the
5D or its successor) to drop to a more reasonable price; say in the
$2.5K to $3K range. But $1300 body only for the $400D? Damn that's
tempting... (Hey, I like to do larger shots...)
Now the big question is whether there's an upgrade for the 30D around
the corner to at least get it into the same pixel count range as the
D200 and the 400D. Pixel count isn't everything, but in marketing it
still matters...
