Called in to B&H Photo at the weekend - what an amazing place - small as
it may appear - there aint much more in photographic equipment than what
they have in stock.

Millions of dollars turnover each day. Someone mentioned they have 600
staff and 150 man the phones.

Yeah, it's a great store, isn't it?

I thought the conveyor belt system was pretty cool too.

I ordered two flash units online from them this year with regular
postage to Oz, but after 60 days i still hadn't received them.
They were obviously lost.

Anyway, after letting them know by phone, they shipped out two more by
UPS and i received them 24hrs later.  How good are they?

They absorbed the extra cost of the flash units and also paid for UPS to
Oz which was a lot more than the regular postage cost i paid for
initially.  With a lesser company they probably would have ignored me
and i would have lost my money.

I'll only buy from them from now on.

Yup, B&H are great. I've bought from them both when in NY and with
phone orders from Australia and been more than happy every time. A good
company to deal with.

Just a tip for anyone in NY on holiday who plan to pop in. They are
closed on Friday nights and Saturdays, plus all the Jewish holidays.

Cheers,

Wayne
