Hi all,

I'm in 2 minds about parting with my beloved 80-400VR.  As it turns out, I
have little use for it, taking mostly portraits these days.

I even went to the lengths of purchasing a Kirk NC80-400 lens collar - a
must if you want to be serious about your tripod work (see:
http://www.kirkphoto.com/lenscollars.html).  This would go with the lens
purchase.

The intention of this email is to seek interest from those who may be
interested.  I may decide to EBay the gear (and a few other lenses I'm
considering selling) so we'll see how things go).

About the lens:

- bought new first quarter 2003 from L&P Photographics in Sydney
- is in perfect working order
- the hood has a few slight scuffs, consistent with normal use (by a loving
owner)
- has probably been used for less than 1,000 frames, mostly taken at the odd
sporting event
- has never ever been dropped, bumped or been immersed in boiling water
(which is what would have happened to anyone who had dropped/bumped it...)
- includes the original box, all brochures and the lens case
- has always had a UV filter and this will be included (yes, I am a generous
bloke...)  :-)
- includes the Kirk NC80-400 collar
Read Ken Rockwell's review here:

I am probably looking to recover something near $2,000 from this baby -
being aware that there are people flogging HK versions on Ebay for less than
this.  However, they don't have the NC80-400 collar - essential for serious
work as stated earlier.

Anyway, if anyone's interested, I'm in Sydney - Chatswood and you can get me
at a@b.c.d (where a = deldridg, b = ozemail, c = com, d = au).

Cheers,
Dave E
PS. "PFS" means "possibly for sale".  :-)
