I have developed so good photography skills and have printed most of my work
out on lamented sheets of A4 size paper. Most I have turned into calenders
with nice scenery of N.S.W. but would like to know how to go about promoting
or marketing some of my quality photo shots and not sure where is a good
place to start. To me photography is also an art exhibition of good photos.

I've had some success with local cafe's. You obviously have to match the
subject matter of your prints with the general 'feel and ambience' of the
cafe, but you will find that some cafe's are always on the lookout for new
wall hangings. So all you have to do is supply prints in frames and
accompanying cards with your details and prices for the pics. They sometimes
get bought within days and can generate some good leads. It's helpful to
have a commerial website with more of your work setup as well so you can
direct the public to that on your details cards too...

Hi Frank,

We did an interview with a Perth based photographer, who has launched a
couple of calendars succesfully -- you can check it out here:

He also hangs around the Shuttertalk forums, I'm sure he'd be happy to
share some tips (if the right questions are asked)  =)
Cheers,
Julian
