Hi,

I remember there was a MP3 player with a 4GB CF card or so which was
much cheaper than the card itself. Is this deal still around?
Otherwise could someone recommend a good deal on a 1GB or 2GB CF card
please.
Thank you.

You can get Sandisk Ultra 2 CF 1gb or other brands from this shop
http://www.jaldigital.com.au/catalog/default.php?cPath=53_21

They sell 1gb Sandisk for $175. I'm thinking to get the portable
storage from them.

That would be the Creative Muvo2. Unfortunately they changed the disk
in it some time ago and the hard disk in it will no longer work in a
camera (it's IDE only, not CF).

Just received mine from this guy. Very happy with the service. Keep in mind
it ships from the US, but only took a few days to arrive.
Sandisk Ultra II 1gb $129.78, and 2GB $259.98 (Shipped). I expected it to
come from within OZ, coz I didn't read the fine print, however I was very
happy with the transaction.

Very interesting! I signed up for Ebay last night and paid exactly for
the same card.
Unfortunately I paid into the Seller Email: gbucc87@optonline.net via
Paymate.
After I made the payment, I received another email stating:
2. Bank Transfer or Credit card payment in AU $$ via Paymate. Direct
your payment to aussiememory@optonline.net ( Paymate charges both the
seller and the buyer a small fee for credit card transactions)

I sent several emails to both email addresses advising him/her that I
made the payment into the above seller email account but haven't heard
anything back yet.
I guess this was the first and the last time I was on Ebay.
Glad I can decline my CC payment if I don't hear anything from this guy.

Or is there another option to fix this?

Cheers

Gerhard,

The email you mentioned you paid to is Eugene's email address.... i
purchased a 1Gb card off him a few weeks ago... paid by direct deposit
before his email arrived with payment details....  i forgot to add
insurance and when I emailed him to ask about depositing the extra for
it he said don't worry.... the card arrived in about 4 days from the
USA....   looks like his Sandisk Ultra II 1Gb cards are going for $119
or thereabouts at the moment plus postage/insurance (was $11.98 for
postage and insurance)....

should work out for you I hope...

aussiememory (Eugene Buccellato) is a crook, I considered my money lost
after 4-5 months of getting no response to email, phone and mediation .
And no he is not based in Australia.  I've lodged several identity
fraud complaints with eBay but they never respond - theres no-one home
at eBay - its a fully automatic system.  eBay does not protect you from
losing your money.  Don't be fooled.

Gerhard, I paid by direct deposit into his Aussie bank account, and had no
problems. I prefer direct deposit over paypal in Australia. Card arrived in
approx 5 days and Eugene responded to my emails very quickly. I was very
happy.

Hi Stew and donic,

I received a reply from him today (a plain Yes). That's all.
I'll let you know if/when I receive the card.

Cheers
Gerhard
