Does anyone know a good shop where they sell secondhand SLRs? I'm
thinking about a reasonably priced Nikon F301 or a Minolta X700, that
kind of thing.

Try Calumet Photo

Do the London stores of Calumet sell secondhand stuff as well? Because
on their website there isn't any mentioning of it.

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure if Calumet sells used equipment.
But I know for sure this company does:
www.jessops.com
I'll check out Calumet myself for you.

Have a look at the Jacobs (New Oxford St or High Holborn) and London Camera
Exchange (The Strand) web sites.

   www.jacobs.digital.co.uk   and  www.lcegroup.co.uk

Jessops World of Cameras store in London (close to the Jacons mentioned
above) used to see second-hand stuff but I saw none there when I visited it
last December.
My understanding is that Jessops are concentrating their second-hand sales
is less than half of their stores.
For example, the store here in Nottingham gets its second-hand stock from
branches as far away as Tamworth or Burton.

if you can get to Watford its a  17 min train ride from London Euston  go to
SRS Microsystems in the high street near the pond  end of the high street
they have a good selection of second-hand film cameras

Check out camera shops on Tottenham Court Road (from Warren St southwards)
and also two shops (Jessops Classics and another one whose name I cannot
remember right now) just across the street from the British Museum.

York Cameras? Nice people, good for new stuff but their second-hand
prices usually seem a bit high to me.

Get hold of the current issue of Amateur Photographer - lots of adverts
for second hand dealers in there. Most of the best deals are from shops
outside London though.
