Stars are visible, so I'm guessing a 30 or 60 second exposure under moon
or other available light.

Forever, (eg: as long as Tinyurl lasts) I believe. OTOH, when you make
a link, sometimes the long link from the original source site is session
specific so whomever you give it to might get a dead link. I examine
the source link first to see if there is a sessionid, and if so I don't
use tinyurl. Also URL's may become out of date and so will the tinyurl
link.
I believe tinyurl also searches to see if it already has a short link to
the long url, and if so, reuses it.
