This week I received my new Nikon F5 that I got from Cameta Auctions on
eBay.  Since the F6 came out, Cameta has been auctioning off a steady
stream of F5s.  They have a positive feedback rating of over 90000.  I
got my F5 for $935.  This is a brand new USA camera with a 3-year
warranty.  I mainly shoot digital these days with a Nikon D70, but
couldn't pass up an F5 at under a grand.  I'm in the process of selling
an F3 HP and an N80 on eBay, and it looks like I'll cover half of my
$935 right there.  I'm left with one of the best 35mm cameras of all
time for around $500 out of pocket.  Yes!

It is a fine camera. I have had mine for a couple of years now, and I am
very pleased with its performance. It takes virtually every lens that Nikon
has ever made, and gets the most out of all of them. It is a little heavy,
but that just makes it more stable for hand held shots, IMO. To get one for
under $1000, is a real steal......Makes me jealous. I paid over $1500 for
mine two years ago......
