Cheaper EOS with mirror lock?

Hi,

I have had the Canon 300v (Rebel Ti if I am not mistaken) for about a year
now and I am happy with it features-wise but I find it lacking two things
which by now I consider important: mirror lock and user-selected metering
mode.

Which is the cheapest EOS, (film and digital), old or new, that I could find
these features on?

Out of the current line up, the Elan 7E looks to be the cheapest with mirror
lock up.  You could always get a used Elan II or IIe, for less than a new
Rebel, likely.

I don;t know about the cheapest but you can find an used Elan 7e for 350
CAD, or even less. It costs around 500 CAD new.
As for digital, 350D has both functions. 300D can be hacked (using
modified 10D fimrware) for the mirror lockup.

Elan 7n/ne and 20D (current production models).
These models are much better than the Rebel series, especially with the
film models. Compare specs at link below:
