I typed the name wrong... It's called Flashtrax by SmartDisk.
It is available in a 20, 40, and 89GB version now.
When you plug it in, it is immediately recognized as a hard drive.
No software installation is necessary.
The updates I referred to were the firmware used internally by the
device--not anything that is installed on your computer.

Oops! I meant **80GB**...not 89!

i see it is a mp3 player. do you get any software for organising or
ripping?
The jessops version also has tv out.
i see from the link that the flash trax works with 1ds raw files. the
jessops now does other cameras. Quite likely the same machine under the
plastic. hopefully any bundled software in interchangeable and better still
so will the firmware updates.
