"In 1964 Barry Goldwater declared: 'Elect me president, and I
will bomb the cities of Vietnam, defoliate the jungles, herd the
population into concentration camps and turn the country into a
wasteland.' But Lyndon Johnson said: 'No! No! No! Don't you dare do
that. Let ME do it.'"

presidential race by Professor Irwin Corey, "The World's Foremost

I keep seeing your sig line, and it reminds me of seeing live
performances of Professor Irwin Corey in Chicago in the early 60s. He
was a regular at the Gate of Horn there. Another regular was "Lord
Richard Buckley"; another person who required your full and complete
attention to follow. Buckley was known most for his hipster versions
of Shakespeare. Buckley died in November, 1960, but I saw him perform
twice that year.
Corey is now in his 90s and still performing.

Aah! the dulcet tones of Lord Buckley. One of his routines was "The
Nazz" not the "Nebenzahl". Now there is a touch of irreverence which is
sorely missed today.
Nice. Thanks Amazing a 1997 camera is already a historical museum piece.
