She was desparate for a quickie...soooo..I had to accommodate

She came over in a little panic and asked me for a very quick
performance..she said I had 20 minutes to set up and get a picture for
her college admissions applications, all of which were in her hand
with postage already attached. So like a good neighbor this is all I
could get for her on such short notice.

I assume you took the standard "desperate woman" fees? :-)

I'm guessin he took a lickin on that job, or else he went in the hole
on the whole deal.

My fees were much more reasonable than the "Just like a good neighbor,
State Farm is there" pricing structure. With a good accident record,
I'm willing to work for services trade.

shortness issue.

Perhaps a higher ISO setting would have allowed a faster shutter speed
and a bit more DOF with a smaller aperture.
That way, the pic wouldn't be so "soft."

Oh wait, you were shooting with a Nikon.  Nevermind.

Yeah, I don't own a Nikkor 28mm so I had to use my (a Rita favorite)
Canon/to/Nikon lens converter and used my older Canon 28 f5.6 on the
D80..
