Bret goes out on what he says are casual strolls and then posts some
pretty terrific stuff. I shot this on one of my casual walks. Well,
Tennessee ain't the only local with critters, Chi town has some some
stuff with enough hot air to compete with anything they got in the
hicks. And I did'nt have to handicap my craft with Photoshop! Bret
this one ain't for you, it's for Helen.

Well, thank you very much Wayne!  I am very touched by your
thoughtfulness.  It's a lovely shot!
But if that reptile starts to move........look out Chicago!  LOL.

Helen, I think it is pretty stable as it is and Chicago is safe for
now. The only danger arises is if we inflate the thing with some of
the hot air our Illinois politicians disperse. Remember we have the
likes of Richard Daley, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton,  Jessie
Jackson , and Al Sharpton establing a local office, so there they
exhaling some pretty toxic air!

Barack is the best of the field right now. My biggest complaint about
him is he is not very photogenic. I guess I should blame the photogs
though.

Yeah, he needs some top notch photographers to take some decent shots
of him.  I can think of one or two right off the top of my head.

I've had that disposable Nikon for six months, just don't care for it
much. I still prefer the results from film. If I migrate to digital
exclusively, I may incure critisism from my fellow Nikonphile R.
Berkowitz.

I think you mis-spelled Trolls.

Point well taken. In the future I'll send my posts to my editor before
I strike the send key.

Is that thing supposed to be a snake or a gator?  I hate gators!

BTW, I noticed your Nikon managed to not only blow out the highlights,
but to stomp all over the shadow detail as well.  Quite a neat trick.
Looks like that scene might have been a good candidate for some HDR
processing.

Get with it Bret! You are sooooo politically insensitive for todays
times. It's a hybrid of both. It's not blown out. What you are
witnessing is the aura emitted by the creature...or else it's the
Nikon processing engine's inability to handle the dynamic range..just
like their two new inferior products...they continue on the path to
mediocrity or worse...here comes...Sony to take over 2nd place.
