Having just spent major money on Nikon lenses for my Fuji s5, I sure
do hope this is the real deal from Nikon. I'll be in the queue!

If those two bodies are the best Nikon can do they are in a world of
doo-doo. I've been shooting with Nikon for 30 years and those two are
not much to brag about. They will be the end of Nikon as a pro
supplier.

Who cares about cosmetics? If the ergonomics are good, I could care less
if the body didn't attract oohs and aahs.
The final proof will come with checks of the performance of the new
sensor and the feature match.
We will see, we will see.

you gotta be joking!
This is PRECISELY what the doc ordered.
Instead of the same ol bullshit about how many
pixels can be crammed in a sensor, never mind
if light can't be miniaturised.

Agreed!
We are talking Pro 35mm replacement, not pseudo MF.
This has the promise of producing quality images (given the shooter's
skill?) in troubling light conditions.
My fear is, are we now going to develop a school of "Pre-chimpers"? :)

Yes, it is real. The announcement is up on the Nikon web site. Along
with five new lenses. All are to released to the public for sale
sometime in November 2007.

Getting even isn't good enough.

Doing better does.

Trolling again are we Wayne?
Maybe you'd do better with a Penn reel? They at least can wind in the
catch!
