Another very nicely done piece by Helen, it's true.

Great set everyone,
I'm agreed that Helen's is another excellent submission!

LOL!  Thanks Paul!
Everyone gave a great interpretation.  Technically excellent and well
composed.

OMG! This constant fawning over Helen's work is truly disgusting. You
all need to stop gushing over her work!
I hope the less than subtle irony is not lost. :-)

I thought your submission was great Jim.  I love those huge wine
colored eyes on that insect.  Very nice macro shot.  BTW:  what kind
of insects are they?

Thanks.  The fly on top is a robber fly.  She is eating a bubble bee.
They are fun to watch, they make dragonflies seem lazy and slow. I've
gotten buzzed by them a number of times; watched one grab a wasp
midair not 18" from my nose. Crash, bang, buzz, buzz, slurp :-)

Try this again....

Great job everyone.

Mike: Good play on the word. Very good studio shot with one flash. Is
that you or your assistant in the reflection on the bottle?

Jim: Great macro. Shows the bond between eat and eater. This will
haunt my dreams for a while to come. Great shot.

Helen: Wonderful shot of the never ending bond between a mother and
her child. Love the B&W and the single light/window light look to it.
Very well done.

Alan: Nice grab shot of mans bond in faith or lack there of. I have
seen many churches using this type of one liners to bring folk back to
the church.

Paul: Good shot of the bonding of materials of man. Nice texture feel
to the image. May be my monitor but seems to be a bit light to me.
Good work, keep at it.

Good job all. The winner I feel, as do others, is Helen. She has given
of herself in this image her own feeling for bonds. May they come
true.

Thank you for the kind words.  Any reflection you see is me, as the
"studio" was my bedroom and I was holding the SB-800 by hand while
taking the shot.

I'll try not to be so lazy for my next "step-up" shot, but if I
come up with anything for rough and ready it will be a location
shot.

It wasn't a lazy shot Michael.  I felt it to be a well thought out
still life.  The bedroom was the perfect background for it.  We know
where James Bond spends a lot of his time!  Lol.
Great work!

Thanks for the kind words, but I got lazy in two different ways.

The first was that I should have worked out how to drape the
other end of the handcuffs over the Champagne bottle.  I just
couldn't get a composition that a) I liked, and b) would stay
put long enough to shoot it.

The second was in lighting.  I have a perfectly good set of
Hensel monolights, umbrellas and softboxes which I didn't use.
On the last round, I wanted harsh "cubicle" lighting, but I should
have tamed those reflections.  No excuses this round.

Thanks.  I took the shot to document the one-liner as I did with these:
