Bret, some advice. First to go is the eyes-use your autofocus at all
times, next is your nerves-use a tripod at all times, the rest of the
deterioration is periodic failure at inconvenient times (my
condolences to your wife). Happy birthday, and many more.

Happy 58th, old man.
May you live long enough to shoot your age. And not just on the front nine.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BEN HOGAN!
Ben would have turned 95 today.
Bow Tie - 13 Aug 2007 16:54 GMT
I would like to second the birthday wishes. We don't agree on much,
but I still like you.
Quite a co-inky-dink. FWIW, my nephew and I have the same birthday.

Never heard of the birthday paradox, eh?

Actually I did in probability and statistics. I believe it is
something like, if you have a sample of 30 people that it is a virtual
certainty that at least one pair will have the same birthday. It still
surprises me at times.

However, the probability that someone else has the same birthday as you (or
any other specific individual) is much smaller. For instance, I see the
birth date of everyone who walks through my office door, and that's hundreds
of new people a year. After a couple of years operating like that I've only
met one person with the same birthday as me (not the same year). Another for
instance, I hired a car from a one-man operator, and when he saw my birth
date he said, "I've been doing this for ten years, and you're the first
customer with the same birthday (different year) as me."
My claim to fame is the same birth date (day, month, and year) as Damon
Hill. :-)

Happy Birthday, also, M-F! (smiley here; was in the movie, Brett, Bart,
Brad.)
One of my favourite scenes though too bad the aspect ratio of the clip
is borked, at least via Firefox onna Mac.

Yeah, it is a bad clip via youtube. Much better on DVD or Laserdisc.
