That's right, Ericaceae not an orchid but similar strategy to some
orchids, dependent on the mycorrhizae fungus which is dependent on the
trees and not really parasitic as they say but symbiotic. Ericaceae
includes blueberries, heather, manzanita, none of those others are
obligate symbionts.
