Went down to the swamp this AM to do a little sweating.
Took my shirt off and worked on my tan as I took these:

It looks like a studio shot.

Yes,
It not only looks like a studio shot, it also looks like a picture of a
plastic model. This really is a long way short of what you expect to see
from "the world's greatest nature photographer". ROTFL!

To quote my good friend and fellow online bully, Alan Browne, I got
two words for ya.

"Aussie retard."

You got that right.

Browne is D-Mac's best friend, when it suits him.

At another time, when D-Mac's friendship doesn't suit him, Browne
declares that D-Mac (J-Mac, Ryadia, Doug, Julian, etc...) is an
"Aussie retard".

It is all based on "your enemy's enemy is my friend", which is a sign
of extremely deep-rooted cowardice.

D-mac has never been my friend, he just agrees (with most around here)
that you are the biggest ball-less poster in usenetdom.

As a reminder, we're waiting for you to post a single competent photo.
Just one.  Never been seen.  Cowardice?  You criticize others, yet you
fail to put a good photo on the web?  That's cowardice.

You claim 50 rolls per average *week* yet won't post a single image?
That's cowardice!

Where is your Paris Match cover?  Can you prove it?

Where is your "calendar" stock?

Those architectural photos?

Anything?  How about some rail photos?  Anything better than this
collection of famous Tony Polson photography:

What the hell are you up to Browne?
You of all people should know Doug is everyone's friend. And what did Tony
do to you to deserve a 3 year barrage of insults? Criticise your often
terrible, sometimes mediocre and only occasionally good photography?

Let me guess. He hit the target with some criticism of you. Does the truth
always hurt you that much?

Tony's mistakes and oversights (dare I say lies) are minor infractions in
this group compared to the crooks you align yourself with. "You are known
not by what you do but by the company you keep". You keep some pretty shady
company Browne.

As far as Doug is concerned, Tony made the mistake of following in the
footsteps of his Cyber Idol (Mark Thomas 7) -God it must feel great to be
seventh in line for a name -  in criticizing the sharpness of 600 Pixel
images when the originals were in fact as sharp as any Bayer sensor image
will ever be.

Had he acknowledged his error and apologized, his often amazing depth of
knowledge about camera equipment would be well regarded by everyone at
Doug's place. As it is, he, like you will continue to be on the black list.
You for your unbelievable arrogance, him for not having the common decency
to apologize when presented with the truth.

Man, the jokers in this group are some piece of work.

Gnash gnash, snort snort, chuff chuff.  Or maybe not.

***WARNING: Long Wikipedia quote ahead.***

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

"Intent

"Trolls can be existing members of a community that rarely post and
often contribute no useful information to the thread, but instead
make argumentative posts in an attempt to discredit another person,
concentrating almost exclusively on facts irrelevant to the point
of the conversation, with the intent of provoking a reaction from
others. The key element under attack by a troll is known only to
the troll.

"A person who retaliates (using whatever means) as a result of a
misunderstanding (or as a way of rebelling against the overzealous
application of rules) is not a troll. A troll is a person who
approaches a board with the specific intention of stirring things
up, either as a goal in and of itself or as a means of attacking
the board perhaps motivated by opposition to the ethos of the
board. For example, a neo-Nazi approaching a Jewish forum with the
intention of attacking the members, purely because the neo-Nazi
knows the forum to contain Jewish members, will be considered a
troll.

"The general element, that determines whether a malicious user is a
troll or not, is the level of indignant emotions present in the
person, coupled with the person's history with the forum or group.
An indignant user who has had a previous normal relationship with
the group is not a troll, even if the user uses methods of attack
that are characteristic of a troll attack.

"A troll's main goal is usually to arouse anger and frustration
among the message board's other participants, and will write
whatever it takes to acheive this end. One popular trolling
strategy is the practice of Winning by Losing. While the victim is
trying to put forward solid and convincing facts to prove his
position, the troll's only goal is to infuriate its prey. The troll
takes (what it knows to be) a badly flawed, wholly illogical
argument, and then vigorously defends it while mocking and
insulting its prey. The troll looks like a complete fool, but this
is all part of the plan. The victim becomes noticeably angry by
trying to repeatedly explain the flaws of the troll's argument.
Provoking this anger was the troll's one and only goal from the
very beginning."

Say 'hi' to Douggie St. Troll for me.

Read my posts, I did give credit.

Shut up?  I'll shut up when you and Bret BOTH stop engaging with the
aussie retard.  That means you BOTH don't reply to the aussie retard
ever, regardless of his mindless provocations.

Otherwise you're equally mindless.

Cheers,

How close did you have to get?
I've always lusted after the MP-65, but I'll have to stick to
extension tubes for now.

About 2 inches.  That was a tough one as the little bastard kept

I find that if you smack them with a baseball bat, they keep still.
Of course, then they're only good for making Pollock paintings.
