Hi
I was using my Nikon F50 with its built-in flash when the battery
decided to expire. Since then I have been unable to clear 'ERR' from
the LCD panel. A local camera shop had a good attempt at trying to
resolve the problem without any luck. They suggested leaving the
replaceable battery out of the camera for a week or so, in an attempt
to drain its internal battery but no luck there. How easy would it be
to remove/replace the cameras internal battery? Are there any sites on
the web then guide you through this process? To send the camera off
for repair is probably going to cost more than the camera plus lens is
actually worth. Any suggestions or advice gratefully received.
Thanks
Johno

Have you tried shorting out the battery terminals after removing it? - IOW,
remove the battery, and then, in the camera's battery compartment, with a
clip lead, short out the terminals that conduct the batteries power to the
rest of the camera....Sometimes this "resets" the device......
