In an effort to discuss photography:

The Canon 100mm f 2.0 and the answer to the age old question of why
people shoot in black & white - no color balance required. :-)

Hand: very good.

Face/hand shaddow: too stark

All in all, excellent experimentation.

Cheers,
Alan

Nice shots Jim.
The portrait has the look of a 1930's glamour shot.

I have the Canon 135 f2, great lens.

He went from the adorable complacent baby, to the oblivious and
cooperative infant, to the "camera me!" toddler to the "talk to the
hand!" little man in less than four years.

I have to admit I find it hard to work consistently well in Black &
White, but he's usually easy to photograph. I may be somewhat
biased. :-)

Aww, what a lovely child Jim.  It's a good shot.  I like it.  What ISO
did you shoot it at?
Savor the moment Jim.  They grow up so fast.

Fascinating shot but it has kind of a horror movie feel to it. :-)

I was heavily armed and absent minded. You pay a high price for that in
the Army.

LED pen light and an overhead room light;  I wanted to illuminate his
