Does anyone make an affordable film recorder in this day and age?
Affordable being defined as costing no more than a Nikon D-80 or that
new Canon Rebel digital.

I'd like to be able to take my best digital images and record them as
slides.

will do them for about ?2 each.  I have not tried them yet but I do
plan in a while.

They are available on ebay, though for some reason only without
the cables or the software.  Very strange...

Somewhere there is a warehouse full of film recorder cables.

Consumer/business units used to be very popular and are
now considered obsolete so I am sure some digging will
turn up something useable at a reasonable price.

_Real_ ones for commercial use, like turning out movies,
cost a fortune.

Use Kodachrome, at least then they will last.

Someday they may build the film recorder right into the camera!

There are services that will print digital to slide at resolutions that
are higher than a computer/projector can achieve:

Not many.

At least nothing I can use ... unless someone knows where that warehouse
full of missing software and cables is located.

Certainly can't afford £2 each to have them made. :-(
