As a note, If you drank less alcohol, you'd not wake up on the floor so often. Good thing you didn't break the camera when you passed out.
..or perhaps NOT such a good thing...

That's really un-called for. I doubt there's anyone here who's less impressed with Bret's postings, but I don't think such a personal attack is warranted.
If you don't like the photos, say so. But don't descend to gutter level personal attacks.

Sure looks like it. I wonder if anyone else actually counted the number of LEGS on 'Annika's' children...and what's he doing making their eyes bloodshot? Child Services should be notified at once.
Has anyone yet proven that Bret is posting as Helen Silverberg? She fawns over his every word..much like an alter ego would.

Draco - 26 Dec 2006 13:42 GMT > Children? I'd hate to see...< M II or Mike, This is an uncalled for attack. I agree with most of the other folks here. If you don't like someones work, fine. Say so and the way you would have shot it. Leave the personal attacks until later. You seem to be like that other idiot "freeparking" or something like that. I try and not remember jerks who insult people just because they don't have to go face to face with those they insult.
So Mike, have a good new year and stuff it.

Not one of you self righteous a.ses complained about that.

I didn't see it. But "Anuska" isn't the same person as "Anika1980". If "Anuska" did snag you image and did not post a attribution to you. Then that person is nothing more than rat droppings. So get off your high horse and re-post the links. Prove we are wrong. We are big enough to admit our goofs. Are you?

Well it was Bret, and yes he did put in a title close to what Mike said. But also when Mike complained Bret changed it, still it was a bit of bad tasted on Bret's part.
On the other hand Mike has made a habit of making rude comments about Bret so I really don't feel the least be sorry for him.

I found the original post and am surprised at the lack of detail in the foreground. If it wasn't for Bret, the Nativity scene would have been lost. Mike's image of what he saw and captured is now seen. And it is wonderful.
Mike, I know Bret can be a hardass at times But he did offer to clean up the image and helped you get the image you saw that night. Now others can enjoy your artistic work. I did.
Good eye and timing. Needs a bit of work with the techinal end. As do I.

His comments don't bother me. Water off a heron's back and all that. That's why I even offered to fix his original file if he'd send it to me. I didn't think my comments would bother him either, but it turns out he's just a Sensitive Sally.

(Actually didn't care much at all). And Bret _did_ change the title, so chill.

Tried to post a response earlier, but my news server is messed up, so forgive me if this one ends up as a duplicate.
In my case it's because I never see Brett's postings. He bored me several years ago, so I filter him. I'll occasionally see one because someone else comments on it. Nothing so far has made me think he's any less boring.
What you describe is indeed also un-called for. Then again, I have no reason to expect any better from Brett. I don't see why you would want to stoop to his level.
Colin_D - 27 Dec 2006 04:04 GMT >>> Children? I'd hate to see...< >> [quoted text clipped - 20 lines] > > Not one of you self righteous a.ses complained about that. As far as I can see, he simply lightened your image to show what the title was about. He had to post it somewhere for you to see it, and he even offered, if you sent him the original file, to fix that for you.
And he attributed it to "some anonymous dude named Mike". You *are* anonymous, with mII as your ID, and Mike as your sig, just as most of us on these groups are more or less anonymous, me included, so what the hell else is he supposed to put?
In my country (New Zealand) there is what's called the 'tall poppy syndrome'. Anybody who comes to attention, specially if they're doing well with what they do, gets castigated, ridiculed, even hated, by the masses who couldn't aspire to the same level of performance.
Bret takes pictures. Mostly interesting, a lot good, some so-so, and he posts them for others to enjoy. Some - a few - do enjoy them. Most, like yourself, just show hatred and, yes, even jealousy - though they would never admit it. They just have to knock down any tall poppies.
Credit where credit's due is an old saying, and a good one. But, instead of giving Bret credit for trying to help, you slam him for posting *your* image on *his* site. You're just one of the poppy-knocking masses.

I could find no post from Annika that called you an anonymous sh.t.

With all respect, Colin, that isn't what happened. You missed his interim LACK of accreditation and then his unwarranted name calling. The labeling you see now is the third variation.
The guy certainly has behaved like a weasel in this matter and I think it's time to just let this thread die a timely death.
