It took a while to accept the 'modern,' 'plastic' look of the thing.
Then I was able to use one for a day and all doubt was gone. Bought one
as soon as I could scrape together the $ for a slightly used model.

I know, I've got one!
Yea, the EF/FD 'thing' is a bit of a pisser. I've been hoping that one
of these vaporware companies will follow through and actually sell a
'digital film' insert. Alternately, Canon or someone else (lawyers
permitting) could make a DSLR that works with FD glass. Good luck on
either happening.... Well, film still works, very well, and I'm content
for the time being shooting and scanning. One or two rolls a month is
neither terribly expensive, nor a huge time sink.
Saw your very nice PB photos of Montezuma's Well. I've been up to the
'castle' a few times, but somehow never heard of the 'well.' If we get
some snow this weekend, a road trip may be in order.

Why even piss around with FD lenses at this point in history? This is all
ancient history and I already shed enough tears over it and it is now buried
in the past since I sold all my FD lenses. If you really want a superior
setup just get yourself the totally awesome 5D and buy a $15 dollar Nikkor
to Canon adapter off of eBay and start using all your favorite old Nikkors.
