I have an old Starblitz 3600 DS flash from my SLR days and I am
wondering if it can be used with my Nikon D50?  What would be the
limitations in functionality?  And, where could I find a SD-System base
unit that would work with my Nikon DSLR?

Thanks for any information.

Just a quick warning: Old flashes with a high trigger voltage (before
mid-1980's or so) can "fry" the electronic circuits of newer cameras.

Others can give you more details, but just don't try it until you are sure.
