Of all the subjects to be photographed whats the odds that the same building is the focus of two entries
No dogs in  Mike Benveniste's shot.

In my description, I did say "every fool with a camera within driving
distance." Now I am certainly not one to label Micheal as a fool, but, well,
he did submit a shot of that damned shack...

Really. Two shots of Motif #1. Sheesh...

But I have dogs. Two of them.

I know the damn shack. I have a friend that decided the best place to live
was run his high tech business in Rockport and mix it with his love of sailing.
Sailing won. Great place in summer some winter days is another story would
make a good entry but you can't get there from here :)

BTW, as if you didn't know by now, but there is no location in New England
with more tripod holes than Motif #1. I think they have a special parking
lot for the shooters. I think #2 is Jenness Farm in Vermont.

If the hot shoe fits....  I live about 27 miles away from Bearskin Neck,
which is trivial driving distance.  I've even shot the shack before when
I was testing Velvia 100, but I didn't want to use an archive shot.

But in my defense that's part of the reason I decided to set up the shot
as a cartoon.  And I did use a 15% off coupon for Woodman's on the way
back -- it's also a tripod trap but does do good fried seafood.

And it's only a half a parking lot, and it's not just for the shooters.
The easel artists also get to use it.  The other half is reserved for
residents, who make their money off of us.  Otherwise, I could have
saved myself a bit of a walk.

Motif #1 is only first because if you try to set up a tripod to take a
picture of the Massachusetts State House, someone will run you over. The
competition for #2 is a bit harder, given the number of covered bridges,
lighthouses, and foliage vistas in the area.

November 26th is hardly high season, but before I could plunk down my
tripod, I had to wait for another photographer to finish up shooting
pictures of his family.  Yet another photographer came up while I was
burning off the rest of the roll of HIE.

And it's a good shot. Love the lobstah claw.

Damn, I love Woodman's seafood. When my father was running his contracting
business, he'd have a clam bake every summer for his best clients, and
Woodman's would cater it. Unreal food.

Friggin' retro-grouch painters...

I think the Lenny Bridge would be a great subject, but the imbeciles who
designed that GD bridge gave us all a fatal flaw: you can't walk on it. What
a bunch of total losers! Golden Gate? Sure. Brooklyn? Why not? Lenny? Nope.
What a GD waste.
