Hi Rita:
I was hoping to view your shot of the Yellow Throated Warbler, but the
site said it has temporarily exceeded its data transfer limit.
You used a Canon EOS 5D?
Looking forward to seeing your work.

Lol..... you got me Rita. I was sincerely looking for some stunning
shots of the bird.
I THOUGHT it was strange that you would be using the 5D. You are a
devoted Nikon photographer.

It's the Nikon lens that makes the shot! The old Canon is simply an
inexpensive and temporary band-aid till Nikon releases the FF D3x in fall of
2007.

Noct-Nikkor 58mm f/1.2 AI-s?
I know this is different but scroll down for the pics and unusual

Do you have any shots of the red-headed, double-breasted mattress
thrasher?

I'm working on it. It's been said that the only acceptable lens for this
capture is going to be the 17-35.

That's Bret's elusive red-headed, double-breasted mattress thrasher
wearing a black cap! LOL.

The signature bokeh gives it away! There's only one lens in the Nikon and
Canon stable that can produce the best creamiest bokeh in the world. It's
the world famous 58/1.2 NOCT Nikkor of course.

I meant, what's that blue and yellow plastic thingie in the
foreground.....Is it some kind of a bottle opener? I have a 58/1.2 Nikkor,
but I've been using it to take indoor shots without flash, with ISO 400 film
because of its speed....I wasn't even aware that it had such good bokeh.
I'll have to break it out and try using it in normal light......

Huh? It's just a spray bottle.

I take it all back....I just checked my fast Nikkor, and it's 55mm, not 58,
so it's a different lens altogether.....I thought there was something wrong
when I saw the $2500 price tag on that eBay item.....I only paid around $200
for mine at KEH, and I'm sure that they wouldn't make a mistake like that!

Creamy bokeh? You really want creamy bokeh?
Well the Canon 85mm f/1.2L creams all over your Nikkor.
It's the creamiest!

It's OK. Not even remotely in the same league as the old Noct, though. The
85/1.2L is a decent beginner's lens to cut your teeth on considering it's a
bargain at $1,800 new. Plus, the 85/1.2L will depreciate like a new Dodge
car being driven off the lot. Take a look at the old Noct. This fool on
eBay sold his for $2,550. I'm so pissed this moron let it go so cheaply
that I don't know whether to call him a simpleton or dumbass. Good glass
*ALWAYS* appreciates!!! And guess what? That baby is going on someone's
Canon.

Try eBay. A decent copy is going to be at least $2,500.
