Hi,
I live in Norway and for first time I want to order some photo
equipment from B&H. Ther are three shipping alternatives:
- US Mail - Global Express Mail 102.75 USD
- UPS Express  88.50 USD
- FedEx priority  194.50 USD
B&H gives the first alternative as default but I prefer the second
alternative which is cheaper. In fact I remember to have read somwhere
that UPS is faster also. Is it OK for me to choose UPS?

regards,

Mogh

Be sure you factor in any import/brokerage or other fees that are
associated with each alternative.

US Mail (USPS) Air Parcel Post is often the most reasonable
in cost.  If the package is small and light enough then it
can go Air Letter rate, even cheaper.

Ocean surface parcel post is the cheapest but can take
~3+ weeks.

FWIW, "ocean surface parcel post" usually goes by air anyway, on a space
available basis (in fact there's a good chance it'll go on a Fed-Ex jet
when it goes).

They say 30 days, but it can actually be anywhere from a week to a month.

See the other thread about UPS to Canada. There may be fees collected by
UPS as a COD charge on the receiver's end, i.e UPS charges B&H $88.55
and charges you for brokerage, import duties, VAT etc.

B&H probably won't know about additional fees, so you'll have to talk to
UPS first.

Thanks everybody for your inputs. I chose UPS and am waiting for
shipment.
