Got the Pentax ZX-M - AND A DEAL!

So I went to a local photo store here in Austin and all these people
were clamoring around checking out all the DSLRs. I make my way in and
ask if they have the Pentax ZX-M. The guy looked happy. He said "I don't
think we have any left but let me check in back."

He comes out with a Pentax ZX-M kit (battery pack, remote control,
crappy lens, two batteries) and gives it all to me for $199! (The bodyy
alone sells for $160 on BHPhoto.com)

Now I wait for the good lens, but already it feels good getting back to
my roots.

Congrats on that, and looking  at your blog, you have some eclectic work there.
A good choice for high quality lenses that are low priced and easily available
are Tamron SP.  I got four from eBay (only one SP though)  and all very low
prices.  Check:  http://www.adaptall-2.com/  ...it's the glass that counts, mostly.

Which scanner do you use for film?

I had a Nikon LS-2000 for a while and I scanned the negatives.
