Hello,

is it possible to configure the Nikon F80 in aperture priority mode to set
aperture with the command wheel on the back and exposure compensation with the
command wheel on the front (without using the exp. comp. button).
I don't seem to find the custom function to enable it but find it such obvious
feature that I find it hard to believe it's not there.

Kind regards,

Jan

ps.: If it's not possible on an F80, is it on an F5? These are selling so cheep
in Adorama's ebay shop that I could easily sell my F80 in belgium for little
less than the price of an F5 there!

I am fairly sure it is a custom function on the F80, but I can't recall
much about that camera - it's been about 5 years since I last used one.
Really sad to see what film cameras are being sold for these days.

Not if you are buying! :-)

No. All you can do is swap the functionality of the 2 dials, making one
shutter speed and the other aperture, or vice versa. On the F5 all you
can do is disable/enable setting aperture on the sub-dial.

:-( to bad. I do it with my D70s and D1H and it's really a great feature,
strange Nikon came up with it so late.

I'll stick to my F80 in that case.
