An untimely addition.  If there weren't 12 the last time you looked,
have another:

Guilty as charged.  I could say the net takes time from New Zealand, but
the real reason is my computer dropped its bundle, and I spent a week or
so rebuilding from a clean install, and missed the deadline {:-(

Something a bit different.  The image is of a Japanese drum team, and a
still shot cannot do them justice.  The sheer energy these kids put into
the drumming has to be seen.  They WHACK those drums with all their
might, and it's all fast, syncopated rhythm, very complex, but
compelling listening.  I shot off about 140 frames on this group, with
the idea of making a proshow, also recorded the sound with a portable
cassette recorder in my pocket - but the tape hiss is a bummer.  I'll
have to work on the track a bit.

There's a group called "Kodo Drummers of Japan"; if you get a chance
to see them, don't miss it. Yhey have (at least one) CD out, on
Sheffield. Also quite an experience.

Your photo wins, Colin. Thanks for the opportunity.

My too-late entry for 'Timing':
http://tinyurl.com/y6acvk
Composite of pelican diving at 250mm (heavy crops) 1/80 sec f/10 ISO 100
on the D200 with 70-200/2.8 VR + 2x teleconverter from a boat.

Previous shot of 2 birds on posts is the 105/2.8 VR macro with 2X at
210mm 1/250 f/10. Obviously would have been a better choice for the
action or more zoom wider/faster but grab em when you can.
