Oops, what I meant to say is, "I OWN IT!"
Yeah, that's the ticket!  I also own a 1DsMKII and a 1200 f/5.6L.
In fact, I have 100 of them!  If you don't believe me, you can ask my
wife, Morgan Fairchild!  We have two children ... Douglas & McDonald.
They were named after a famous liar.  Can you guess who?

Does he shoot pelicans for calendars, and sell them to millions of adoring
fans?
Ya, that's the ticket!
That lens looks like a giant eye-ball...

We've got enough Tommy Finaglins here already yet!
<Pretty soon the ref to Ms. Fairchild will really be dated....>

the way you have caught this little plant-sucking bug is timeless! He
actually looks cute, with his big eye looking at your lens probably
thinking "I thought I had big eyes". lol

A few years back, working weddings with an established
"professional" in Florida, he insisted I use his 85mm 1.8 soft-focus lens
for a couple of weddings in low light.

I actually have a shot in a low-lit church, bride and groom coming
back up the aisle after the ceremony and grabbing a quick kiss - they're
side by side, the bride's shoulder just behind the groom's. And he's in
focus while she isn't. So much for fast lenses.

Lost several shots in a small church when I couldn't position
myself where the fixed focal length would be useful. Did a few other
shots using the soft-focus option, only to have the other photographer
toss them because they were, you guessed it, "soft". I handed the lens
back to him with a curt "Thanks but no thanks", and he suggested I keep
it to try the soft-focus option ;-).

You know how much I enjoyed telling him he could fish them out of
the trash if he really wanted, but I would otherwise stick with lenses
that could do the job. Wasn't much for listening to fixed-focal-length
folklore *before* that, and much worse now...
