Nikon D-50 memory card

Does anyone know what the maximum SD memory card size is that I can use with
my D-50? Some friends are saying up to 4 gig while some say 2 gig is the
most. I use a 2 gig and it seems to work ok but I'd like to try a 4 gig if
it would work right.

2 gig is the maximum, however, some people claim 4 gig works if you
format it in the computer first.
