all i have is Jasc's Paint Shop Pro (the free version... limited tools) for
photo editing... its good for cropping, resizing, and lowering the
resolution... im looking for something that can help tweak the colors and
adjust contrasts...

ColorVision ColorPlus for $60?
Art Explosion Publisher Pro for $90?
Photo Impact Pro for $75?

or should i just do the PSP upgrade?.. it seems pretty easy to use and i
have the hang of it already.. $100 makes it more than the others, but you
get what you pay for(?)....

anyone have any experience/advice?

thanks..........

im full of stupid questions... and im just getting started!!...

If you are familiar with Paint Shop Pro, then an upgrade to a new version
may be the way for you.

Photoshop Elements is also a good Photo Editor. It is a limited version of
the Professional Photoshop CS and costs a whole lot less.

Elements is designed for the home user with some experience in editing
Photos.
Elements is now up to version 4.

I was going to make exactly the same recommendations.  So now you have
two votes for both of those recommendations.

By all means, stick with PSP.  But look for bargains, which
are often available. Right now, CompUSA has it for $49.99
after rebates.

The full PSPX is on sale, since the X3 version is out. Best Buy had it
priced as low as $39
