OK-
I have searched for this answer online - but have not seen a good
answer.  Yes - I realize that dedicated webcams are cheap - that is not
the question.  I believe some Fuji's support a Webcam mode, but not
sure about all.  What other brands/models? Does anyone know?  Thanks

Hmm!
The question may not be wisely worded--
My C8080 will support 640x480 with 3d party camera control software.
It's obviously not a camera intended for web cam use. (And it's not too
cheap.)

I realize that the primary purpose of a good digital camera is NOT as a
web cam - and that would not be the reason to buy one. But the optics
are good and some come with built in webcam mode.  So - rather than
have 2 devices - one with lousy optics - want to know which ones can do
it without "un-natural" acts or trouble.

Maybe a "Security Camera" with web access.

I had a Fuj Finepix 6800z that doubled as a webcam in it's
charging/downloading cradle. Not sure about newer ones.

List is too big to enumerate here.

Try <http://www.dpreview.com/>

You can search on models that have D-Cam modes.

My Fuji S602Z has a webcam mode. Very nice pic but demands very good light
(daytime office environment) as you don't have control over brightness and
contrast when in this mode. I got the external power supply adapter for it
when using it in this mode to "save" battery life.
