slow you recording down.
Stop playing with your computer while recording
shut off the 20 programmes you have running in the background.

sounds reasonable... what about...
Error reading Inquiry data for devices
Error=1

Then I have to load the nero drivers, then insert the blank DVD but i just
spits it out without an explanation?

Remove, reboot then Re-install your Nero burner software.

tar. Sorted.
Although - the disc wouldn't play in my standard uk dvd player but would in
the ps2 - any reason for this?

If you make a Video CD/DVD for a DVD player, make sure the disk is no
multisession and is Finalized. Also it may be best to record with Mode 1 and
ISO Level 1 and no relaxed ISO restrictions.

Check the specification on your DVD player and see if it supports the Video
CD standard. Computer DVD/CD drives usually support more formats than DVD
players.
