Club List

Austin Shutterbug Club
The Purpose of the Austin Shutterbug Club shall be to encourage an interest in photography, provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, to provide an enjoyable forum for the development of artistic and technical photographic skills and to promote a healthy spirit through educational programs, exhibition and competition. The club is open to members of all photographic skill levels. Our group holds monthly meetings and competitions and we also schedule field trips and workshops throughout the year. Visitors are welcome at our monthly meetings, 7pm the second Thursday of each month. Come join us at the Northwest Recreation Center, 2913 Northland Drive (FM 2222).

Bay Area Photo Club
The club meets twice a month, on the second and fourth Tuesdays in the building at the south entrance to Clear Lake Park. At the first meeting of the month, members bring their work for critique and discussion (also referred as the Honors Program Night).

The second meeting is usually a special program, where guests come to speak to the club on various topics or the club critiques work from an outside organization such as PSA or the GSCCA. There is also a monthly newsletter that lists announcements, essays on subjects of photographic interest, buy/sell ads, and other goodies. Meetings are held at 7:00PM on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at the meeting hall at the South entrance to Clear Lake Park on NASA Rd. 1

Ft. Worth Camera Club
We share our knowledge by joining in group activities that allow us to share our experiences. There is a broad range of skill levels within the group and, through sharing, we are able to acheive higher degrees of technical and artisitic ability. Through these activities we hope to nurture the ability to “see” and to share our interest in photography as a form of artistic expression.  Monthly contests are used as the structure for learning, sharing, and challenging ourselves  in  our hobby.  Members  are not  required  to  submit  images for competition but are encouraged to do so as a way to develop their skills.

Gulf States Camera Club Council
This council is composed of camera clubs and photographic societies in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Interclub activities include bimonthly slide and print competitions.  The slide competitions include both pictorial and nature slides.  The print competitions include color and black and white large prints and a separate small print competition. There are also two photojournalism contests each year.  Most of the clubs in the Council take turns judging these competitions.

Houston Camera Club
The Houston Camera Club is a non-profit organization that meets in southwest Houston, Texas. Club Members are a congenial group ready to help others advance their knowledge of photography and improve their picture taking ability. Our meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7pm.

Houston Photochrome Club
Visitors are always welcome at our meetings, which are at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of every month at the Tracy Gee Community Center, located at 3599 Westcenter Drive. This street is one block east of Beltway 8, between Richmond and Westpark.  Typically, the first portion of our meeting is a slide program, presented by a visiting guest speaker, or  by one of our members.  Our slide programs take us around the world, from the sun-bathed mountains of Ecuador to the underwater beauty of the oceans.  We have seen the icy beauty of both the Arctic Circle and the continent of Antarctica.  We have also had programs by experts in a spectrum of  fields, such as portraiture, bird photography, advertising, and many more.

Plano Photography Club
The Plano Photography Club is located in Plano, Texas, and serves the northern portion of Dallas and surrounding suburbs. All skill levels, from beginner to professional, are welcome. Club meetings are at 7:00 p.m. on the 4th Monday of every month in the Christian Education Building of Grace Presbyterian Church, 4300 West Park Blvd., Plano TX. The church is located between Coit Rd. and Preston Rd. on Park Blvd.
