Adirondack Camera Club Inc.
Whether you’ve just bought your first camera or rank among the advanced photographers, there’s much to learn about the multi-faceted art form of photography. By seeing, comparing, competing and learning with fellow club members, everyone’s abilities are sure to improve.
The club holds general meetings on a monthly basis from September through June. So if you are looking for Competition, Entertainment, Instruction, Critiques, Field Trips and Fellowship come to our next meeting!
Batavia Camera Club
The Batavia Photography Club was founded by Jim Dusen in the year 1986. It currently has 25 members, from beginners to more advanced photographers. The club sponsors field trips, schedules speakers, and holds workshops for hands-on learning. Print and slide competitions are held for members who like to compete. The club is also affiliated with the Niagara Frontier Regional Camera Club, of which there are 10 other clubs. Generally, meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays, September through April. Each meeting begins with a short business meeting at 7pm, with competitions or presentations beginning at 7:30.
Brooklyn Camera Club
Our meetings are held every Wednesday from September to June from 8pm to 10pm. Our meeting are held at FLATLANDS REFORMED CHURCH, 3940 Kings Highway, Brooklyn NY. Meetings include the following activities: Interactive Programs, Workshops, Fieldtrips, Model Shoots. Workshop topics include: Elements Of Composition, Photo Techniques, Adobe Photoshop, Creative Photography, Print techniques, etc. Club photo competitions are held every month. Member photo critique sessions are also held once a month.
Color Camera Club of Westchester
Club meetings start at 8 PM, most Monday evenings, September through May, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. The church is located on the corner of Mamaroneck and Carhart Avenues in White Plains. Programs are designed to teach basic and advanced photographic skills while encouraging innovation. In addition, there are slide evaluations, field trips, exhibits and competition. All club activities begin promptly at 8 PM unless otherwise noted. All slides/prints for competition must be submitted by 7:45 PM. Coffee is served beginning at 7:30 PM.
Flushing Camera Club
We have monthly competitions, photography workshops, lectures, and photo seminars. The FCC meets every 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of the month, at 7:30 p.m. In July and August we meet on the 3rd Wednesday only. All meetings are held in the Auditorium, Flushing Hospital, 45th Avenue & Parsons Blvd., Flushing, NY. Visitors are always welcomed, and there is never any pressure to join. So come, have a cookie and enjoy an evening with us.
Huntington Camera Club
The Club offers instructional programming, entertaining multi-media presentations, judged competitions, field trips and other events including special dinners and a family picnic. A monthly newsletter lists the activities, and includes the competition results and informative articles. Annual dues are $45 a year for single memberships, $30 for students and seniors age 62 and over, and $60 for family memberships. About 30 meetings are held each year.
Island Photo Group
Our membership is comprised of an eclectic mix of photographic talent, the core of which is a well trained and experienced group of more advanced amateur photographers. They are knowledgeable and well versed in a variety of aspects dealing with both conventional photography and digital imaging. But, don’t let this intimidate you if you’re a beginner. Not only are our advanced photographers superb at their craft, but they understand the need to teach and help develop the photographic abilities of the less experienced workers. Education is a prime focus of our organization.
Manhattan Miniature Camera Club
Our meetings are held in the Church House of the First Presbyterian Church of New York, located at 12 West 12th Street in Manhattan. We meet twice a month from September through May, typically the first and third Monday. Meetings begin promptly at 6:30 PM, but on competition nights entries must be submitted by 6:15 PM. The first meeting of the month is Competition Night, when we invite experienced and respected photographers to judge, critique, and score our work. Entries are judged on impact, composition, and technique. Judges' comments are intended to encourage and improve the skills of our members.
Nassau County Camera Club
Enjoy the following benefits: A place to show your work; Participation and involvement in photography through warm and friendly sharing with those of similar interests; Workshops and lectures in all areas; Black & White and Color prints, Color Slides, as well as traditional Darkroom and Digital photo techniques; Participation in constructive critiques and monthly competitions.
New York Color Slide Club
Members are offered opportunities to attend lectures and receive instructions in Color Slide Photography, and to take part in Monthly Competitions. Meetings begin at 7:15 PM sharp, unless otherwise announced. Regular meetings are held twice a month, with the exception of September, December, May and June. The first Friday, with the exception of September, is scheduled for a Competition night. Each member may submit two (2) slides for Competition, to be judged by an outstanding and qualified Judge.
