First Light Camera Club
The First Light Camera Club began in 1990 and has received recognition as a viable club covering mid coast region of Maine. Our membership is open to anyone of any age who has an interest in any aspect of photography. Members can participate in New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) photography critique circuits and in-club photo discussion programs. Club activities are held on a regular basis at which a variety of speakers and learning experiences are presented such as field trips, educational seminars, photography application workshops, and photographic evaluation meetings. The Club meets at 7:00 PM on the second and fourth Thursdays beginning the second Thursday in September continuing through the fourth Thursday in May except as noted.
Portland Camera Club
Meetings are held on the first four Mondays of the month, from September through May, at 7:00 PM at the Stewart P. Morrill Post of the American Legion, 413 Broadway, South Portland (directions). Ample parking is available in the parking lot on the east side of the building. The building has an entrance at the end of the parking lot, and an entrance ramp with handicap access on the west side of the building. Typically, the monthly schedule is: First Monday: slide competition; Second Monday: print competition (color and black and white); Third Monday: special presentation; Fourth Monday: focus on digital photography.
